Shortbread



1/2 cup      corn starch   
1/2 cup      icing sugar   
1 cup         all-purpose flour   
3/4 cup      butter, softened   
 

Sift together the corn starch, icing sugar and flour. Add the softened butter and mix until the dough is a smooth consistency. Form into 1 1/2" (4 cm) balls and place on a greased cookie sheet about 2" (5 cm) apart. With a floured fork, press dough down. Or roll dough out to about 1/4" thick and cut into shapes with cookie cutter. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned. 

Drizzle with melted chocolate or try tipping just one corner in chocolate.
