Mug Bread

Two versions of mug bread. One made with almond flour and one made with coconut flour. This comes from the Keto diet. I am not on the diet but still appreciate a very low carb bread. I have used different containers so you can see it is versatile. Make in a mug and use it as a replacement for an English muffin or even a hamburger bun. A 4x4 inch container is about right for a sandwich. You can add any herbs or even cheese to these. Really good toasted.




Coconut Mug Bread
1 tbsp melted butter
1 egg
2 tbsp coconut flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp cream or milk

Melt butter in whatever mug you will be using. Add the egg and beat well. Add the flour, baking powder and cream. Mix well. Microwave for 90 seconds.

Almond Mug Bread
1 1/2 tbsp melted butter
1 egg
3 tbsp almond flour
1/2 tsp baking powder

Melt butter in the container you will be using. Here I used a 4x4 inch container. Add an egg and beat well. Add the flour and baking powder. Mix well. Microwave for 90 seconds. Enjoy.
